The structure, built in the early 1900s, has been used, since the postwar period and for about 30 years, for the delivery of grapes from the vineyards of the Stagnone Nature Reserve and neighboring areas.
A few years ago, the company was taken over by the Bonomo family, which initiated a process of complete restructuring of its infrastructure and processing technologies.
In the east-facing area there is a large cooperage made of fine oak, which contains wines with more than 30 years of aging, an invaluable reserve that is an almost inexhaustible source of yeast. In the warehouses facing south, there is a barrique cellar in a temperature-controlled environment, where wines are stored for further aging.
The wines produced by Cantine Mothia always present themselves to the palate as consistent and balanced, whole and complete. The Bonomo family makes a very careful selection of the finest grapes, which are vinified with painstaking care and extensive use of modern technologies in order to obtain products of great quality depth.
